Are you suffering with anxiety, then trust me you are not the only one. In this anxious era no one would believe in hiding one’s feelings from another. Anxiety and depression share a connection in between them which often leads the patient from one to the other. How does the transfer from one to the other occur and what is the connection in between them in reality?
Different Conditions
Patients suffer from anxiety and depression seperately from each other. A patient may suffer from depression in his or her physical and chemical makeup and to add to it with anxiety as well.
This anxiety can be caused by outside factors such as a job loss or financial problems, family problems, or other stresses. They may just be an overly anxious person due to their own nature or personality; some people are just more “high strung” than others.
Depression and anxiety are two different factors and so in these cases they aren’t related to each other. Sometimes people who are overweight tend to have diabetes, like wise people who are having diabetes can lead to gain weight. These are to seperate terms.
Similar Symptoms for Anxiety and Depression
Usually both anxiety and depression share a very similar pattern of symptoms. Anxiety patients do get distracted very soon, they can’t control their anger, they also get upset and frustrated very soon. They also try to avoid people and situations.
Depression can have many of the same symptoms. Being depressed doesn’t always mean just being sad, but it can also mean being angry and frustrated and isolating oneself. In cases such as these a person may assume that they have both anxiety and depression when in reality just one set of symptoms is overlapping the other.
Anxiety Leads to Depression
A person gets hurt emotionally, physically and mentally if they are anxious for a long period of time. Our body is not made to bare such emergancy for days or long period of time.
A person suffering from anxiety often ends up suffering with depression also. They become so anxious about themselves or there sorroundings that the body can’t handle the situation and so they finally become depressed.
If a person is anxious over the outer factors then they do end up feeling depressed. Many problems like family problems, financial crisis, job loss, a diforce or death of someone close to you; that cause anxiety often lead a person to become depressed. Even moving over to a new area causes anxiety and can follow up to depression. The patient has both anxiety and depression due to the outer factors. This is the way in which these two terms are interlaced.
Dealing with both anxiety and depression is a very difficult set of circumstances for anyone, and even for the family of the sufferer. While we can’t always rid of anxiety and cure depression, it is possible to treat and cope with these conditions. Not only are there medications that can help, but therapies as well.
